4 Trends in Marketing & Creative Hiring Right Now

How’s the job market? This is the question on everyone’s mind, particularly as we head into the last few months of 2024.

In our marketing and creative recruiting world, here’s what we’re seeing and hearing right now:

#1 There is an uptick in people looking for work. Surveys show that 48% of workers plan on looking for work in the coming months.

#2 However, the number of applicants to jobs is down. Workers have clarity about what they want but are being cautious. They are being very selective when it comes to the jobs they’ll pursue.

#3 Employers are being just as cautious, not only in adding headcount, but also when it comes to who they hire. As a result, positions that are open are harder to fill.

#4 During a period of conflicting job numbers, many companies have hired contractors to get the work done.

Talk among recruiters, an optimistic group, is that the Fed lowering interest rates could build businesses' confidence. And this could lead to more job opportunities and good news for all.
