Happy New Year! Here are three mindfulness practices to kick off 2023:
•Start the day with something non-work related. Read 20 pages of a book, go for a walk, or buy your favorite coffee. Shift your focus from a work-centered life to a life-centered life.
•Do the 5 senses challenge. Being aware of our surroundings helps us feel present in the current moment. Take 30 seconds a day to stop what you’re doing and take in what you see, hear, touch, smell, and taste.
•Create video diaries. Watch them back at a later date. Where were you when you took them? How different do you look? Talking out loud helps us vent, rationalize our problems, and validate our own feelings.
